North Side Technology Company Expands Assets, Adds Executive Leadership

INDIANAPOLIS – Indy IT Professionals has purchased industry competitor, Network Security Services LLC. As part of the acquisition, Indy IT Professionals will continue providing services to existing clients of Network Security Services. In addition, Network Security Services president, Todd Tompkins, will join Indy IT Professionals as its Vice President of IT Solutions.

“Network Security Services has an established base of engineering, manufacturing, and not-for-profit clients,” said Tom Wagenhauser, President of Indy IT Professionals. “By acquiring Network Security Services, Indy IT Professionals significantly increases its share of the Indianapolis IT provider space.”

Network Security Services was established in 2003. Wagenhauser said the purchase of Network Security Services further solidifies Indy IT Professionals as Central Indiana’s premiere IT solutions provider for non-profits, engineering firms, and manufacturing. The acquisition also better positions Indy IT Professionals to capitalize on the rapid growth of outsourced IT.

“Another key piece of the deal was adding Todd to our executive leadership team,” said Wagenhauser. “Todd is a phenomenal systems administrator. His specialties include Microsoft Windows, ISA, Exchange, SQL, and IIS servers, Cisco routers and switches, and network infrastructure and design. His addition is a perfect fit and we’re glad to have him on board.”

Indy IT Professionals received the 2011 Hamilton County Readers’ Choice award for best web designer and won the 2011 Hamilton County Entrepreneurship Advancement Center (EAC) Emerging Business Award. The company is certified as an approved Veteran Owned Business (VBE) by the United States Department of Veteran Affairs.
